Privacy Policy

• Account data: name, email, phone number, profile photo and city when you sign up or complete your profile.
• Pet data: your pets' names, species, breed, health records, vaccination dates and photos you add to the Health Passport.
• Transaction data: bookings, orders, addresses, payment status and amounts. Card/UPI credentials are handled directly by Razorpay — Petify never sees or stores them.
• Content you post: listings, adoption applications, community posts, comments, reviews and chat messages with providers.
• Usage and device data: pages visited, features used, device type, approximate location (city), and cookie/analytics identifiers.

• To run the platform: create your account, process bookings and orders, enable chat, and show your listings.
• To send service communications: booking confirmations, appointment and vaccination reminders, order updates and receipts.
• To connect you with others: sharing your contact with a buyer after a paid unlock, or with a provider after a confirmed booking — only for the transaction concerned.
• To keep the platform safe: fraud detection, moderation, verification and enforcement of our Terms.
• To improve Petify: aggregated, de-identified analytics on how features are used.
• Marketing (optional): offers and newsletters where you have opted in; you can unsubscribe any time.

• Other users, as part of the service: buyers/sellers after a contact unlock, you and your vet/groomer/boarding provider after a booking.
• Service providers who process data for us: Razorpay (payments), Lovable Cloud (hosting, database, email), and analytics providers — bound by their own data protection obligations.
• Law enforcement or regulators where required by law, court order, or to protect animal welfare and user safety.
• We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember your cart and filters, and measure usage. You can block cookies in your browser, but sign-in and checkout will not work without them.

We keep your data while your account is active. Order, payment and audit records are retained as required by Indian tax and accounting law. When you delete your account, we remove your profile and content within 30 days, except records we must legally retain.

• Access and correct your data from your account pages at any time.
• Request a copy or deletion of your personal data by emailing us (see Contact below).
• Withdraw marketing consent via the unsubscribe link or account settings.
• Raise a grievance under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — our grievance contact is the email below, and we respond within 15 days.

Petify is for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

We use encryption in transit, row-level access controls on our database, and role-based access for staff. No method of transmission is 100% secure; if we ever suffer a breach affecting your data, we will notify you and the authorities as required by law.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email, and the “Last updated” date above will change.
